THE ROCK

A hospitality complex located on a sea side cliff on the western shore of Corfu Island, Greece. The project consist of several vacation units in existing stone houses alongside additional functions - a restaurant, a bar, a local farmers market, swimming pool and a spa. The new additions to the site attempt to have a minimal intervention with the ground, in respect with the flora and fauna. Therefore, a light modular construction was developed and positioned in the empty spaces of the site (where trees or intense greenery do not exist) lifted up from the ground to produce a minimal foot print.
